That squealing pig sure looks tasty, it could probably sell for a bit too.
Hmm, but even if I could grab it without anyone noticing, how would I get away?
It’s daylight and there are a lot of people around.
My thoughts are interrupted as a screaming old man runs into the village.
A moment later, he is followed by an arrow, which now protrudes from his back.
I mutter, “Poor guy.”
Now, everyone is screaming and there are many dangerous looking men rushing towards town.
I run to the far end of the market and check my surroundings.
It’s chaos, everyone is running past me.
However, the fruit stand in front of me is the same as before.
“Don’t mind if I do.”, I say aloud as I sneakily pack my bag full of fruit.
More villagers have been hit by arrows, one looks like she got hit pretty hard, but she’s still standing.
I don’t approve of needless killing. Taking fruit, which will grow again, to feed my belly is quite different than taking lives for no real reason. Especially, if they are taking the lives of those who grew these fruit.
A man and a small female human, perhaps a Fey, rush the attackers.
I run over to and crawl up onto the roof of a hut. From this vantage, I see that more attackers are approaching, fighters in the front and archers in the back, with a chariot approaching. Those archers look easy enough, perhaps I could even take out that chariot.
I crawl down the hut and sneak around to the outside of the village.
They haven’t noticed me yet. However, I was too slow to catch the archers, they have already past by the building. Only the chariot is in front of me now.
I say, “Slippery, slippery, cover it well. Hah, haha.” as I cast grease upon the chariot and the ground in front of it.
Both riders fall!
I move up and engage the closest one. Failure, utter failure.
I didn’t even scratch him.
After taking a good hit from him, I take a step back and catch a rope that was thrown across the chariot.
What the.. where’d this come from.. what am I supposed to do with it??
While holding onto the rope, I move around to the back of the chariot.
Perhaps I can damage the other one.
The rope falls limp and now that it seems utterly useless, I drop it.
I attack the other one whom appears to be a priest of some sort, and miss.
He then casts a spell and I feel different, something is wrong. I should probably leave here, now. But, he cast a spell on me.. now I’m mad.. so I grapple him.
He hits me as I grab him, but I don’t let go.
The chariot turns and begins to flee.
But I don’t let go.
The priest falls out of the chariot and I pin him.
Then, a goblin helps me tie him up.
Tsk, now I’m indebted to the goblin.
I immediately search him, hoping that he’ll have something that pertains to Dyvaria or maybe some Arcent Stone.
Why did I risk my life? Oh yeah, for some fruit.
