Krauth holds the dubious honor of being the only orc nation in the history of Caerlorn, as far as any written history is concerned. Cradled in the Blood Mountains and the surrounding badlands, Krauth is a land of savage beauty. The demon-worshiping orcs of Krauth constantly war with themselves and their neighbors, gaining strength and power. Strangely enough, Krauth has a somewhat friendly relationship with Norgalth. Though the orcs are an inherently chaotic race, a semblance of order is maintained in Krauth through the iron tyranny of its ruler, and, ironically, the power and ambition of the demons they worship. The black blades of Krauth signify a plague that only waits the command of its demonic masters to cover the world.
Krauth first formed into a kingdom in the year 407 YAS when one tribe’s chieftain conquered the other tribes through demonic power. Since that time, little is known about what happened within the boundaries; the bloody history of Krauth is unrecorded, and no scribe nor scholar has ever survived long enough to record even the smallest tale.
Recent history, as formed through the Godswar, has brought invasion force after invasion force from the bloody lands of Krauth into the surrounding lands. In particular, Elfrithr has suffered a large number of attacks, but so far the Krath hordes have been unable to conquer anyone, though terrible slaughter has been caused by them.
